Th&eacute; staff is what made our experience enjoyable. They were friendly and attentive. Some members of our party had fish or chicken and they were very pleased. However, I would not recommend any dishes with grilled octopus.  Octopus is tricky and I usually only order it in trusted restaurants back home. Given that this is Amalfi,I thought it would be a sure bet. It is not. The dish was tough and chewy. Unfortunately the seafood salad, when served, was mostly made up of octopus followed by a main dish of grilled octopus.Disappointing at best. Given how expensive te restaurants in Amalfi are, I am sharing my experience.Go to the restaurant. Enjoy the location. Eat the food&hellip; just not the octopus.

We had amazing dinner. We made amazing memories. Definitely recommend. The staff is so nice and the environment is beautiful. Truly an incredible experience that I will remember forever. We had a party of 11 and the staff was very accommodating. You have to make a reservation!

The Carbonare taste like someone have out a hola box white peper we tould the stuff but they just say no!   Our doughter coudnt eat the pasta and same with the bolognese. And we need to pay full payment.Take another resturang

The restaurant also has a problem with the time to serve. Hehe - pasta with Genovese: I ordered a Da Gemma signature dish pasta for two people, and it was divided into half when serving (pictured). The pasta is a bit hot and the entrance needs to be careful. The beef and onion were roasted for hours. The beef was very tasty and tasted, and then served with dried onions, which was fragrant and more flavorful. Both liked this. The large tubular spaghetti taste is Italian al dente, which will feel hard compared to the friends who are used to the taste of domestic pasta. It is recommended to mention it when ordering and the waiter. - traditional fish soup: For the lizards who like tender burning and green mouths and simmering, some of them have been burned here, but they are partially submerged in the soup, and they are made up for by the flavor and soup. There are shrimp, seagull shrimp, salmon and two fish in the pot. The shrimp are basically good. The texture of the fish is quite tender. The salmon is really too much. I don&#39;t want to smell that smell anymore. Although there are many types of seafood, the overall flavor is the smell of a large number of salmon and tomatoes. At first, I felt that the tomato juice was delicious. It was inevitable to taste fatigue after eating it. To be honest, this seafood soup is not recommended if it is not for 4 people. First of all, the amount is too large, when the table is shocked by two people, can not finish eating, even 4 people still recommend ordering 2 people (this is the starting point for 2 people). Finally, I wanted to complain about this meal time. Although I was told that it took some time to order seafood soup, I finally found that the pasta had waited for a long time. I counted it down at 8 o&#39;clock and sat down until nearly 11 o&#39;clock. It was really too tired. Price, signature pasta 16 euros, seafood soup 80 euros for two people.

The service staff is very nice, the price is reasonable, the ingredients are fresh, the dishes of the female chef are particularly delicious, and the restaurant has been visited five or six times.

Very fine food and exceptionally professional service. I would definitely eat there again as it&rsquo;s also not so far off the beaten path.

We loved everything. The ambiance, the service, the food. Everything was great. The ravioli wonderful. We had 6 in our group and everyone was very pleased. Would love to return in the future.

When we arrived for lunch we were the only people there and we had the most peaceful setting out on the patio! The service was incredible and they provided recommendations which proved to be amazing.  One of the best meals we had in Italy with the ambience and food both being a 10/10. Our waiter was a delight and we loved talking to him! As we were wrapping up with dessert the place started to fill up.

We enjoyed our first meal at Al Cancelletto so much, we returned for another. The first time I chose toasted couscous with sweet and sour vegetables, the second time I ordered cuttlefish with carrot, celery, fennel and walnuts. Both dishes were beautiful with a freshness, lightness and clarity of flavours I loved. My husband had pasta dishes both times and agreed this was the best cooking we had found on this trip to Italy. Everything was of the region, including the delicious wine and desserts, and nothing was tired or pretentious

Although it is a tourist destination, the price is affordable, and the grilled squid with mashed potatoes is especially delicious.
